We were proud to be chosen as the exclusive insulation installation partner for the new four-storey 8500sqm ACC office building in Hamilton. The building was developed by Tainui Group Holdings, built by head contractor Hawkins, and will house more than 800 staff once occupied.

It was a large install job with over 8500m2 of insulation and was tricky in places, measuring and cutting around services, but our team did an excellent job. We used Mammoth acoustic insulation, Mammoth external wall insulation, Greenstuff ASL carpark panels, Autex ASL panel absorber, and Mammoth Masonry insulation.

The office block includes three distinctive pavilions at the junction of Tristram St and Collingwood St and will be a unique landmark in the Hamilton CBD.

K’aute Pasifika Village

Location:

The K’aute Pasifika Village is the first of its kind in New Zealand. The impressive building was designed to serve around 21,000 people and includes an early learning centre, wellbeing services and an open fale (meeting house) for community events, as well as GP and other clinical services.

This development by iLine Construction saw JMM Insulation installing Earthwool and Pink Batts wall and ceiling insulation in the fale, hub amenities block, and the Early Learning Centre – a total of 2600m2 insulation. Ausmesh netting was used in the ECE to hold Pink Batts in place.

The challenge of this project was the soaring fale – we needed to use a scissor lift to install insulation at the highest point of 13m, which meant additional training by our team to be certified to operate the scissor lift at this height. Another excellent job done by our team.

ARB Extension

ARB are specialists in the design, manufacture and distribution of 4×4 parts and accessories. They contracted iLine to do a large-scale 5500m2 extension of their property in Te Rapa and iLine got us in to do the insulation install.

We installed Premier glasswool ceiling blanket to the ceiling, held in place by Ausmesh screwed to steel purlins — a difficult job as we had to work around a lot of services. We also installed Earthwool R2.2 wall insulation to external walls and Mammoth acoustic wall insulation to internal walls.

Altogether, our team installed a total of 2650m2 of ceiling, wall, acoustic wall and Ausmesh into this expansive commercial building.

Carters

Location:

We were contracted by iLine to insulate a new Carters Building Supplies depot in Cambridge. The property was around 1750m2 and included associated buildings and amenities.

We installed Earthwool ceiling, wall, and midfloor insulation. We used a EWP to install 400m2 of Earthwool blanket, laid on top of suspended ceiling. 

For this project, the JMM Insulation team installed a total of 1600m2 insulation — a flawless job.

Southwell School

JMM Insulation were contracted to fit wall, ceiling and underfloor insulation to Southwell School’s new Junior School, developed by SJR Builders. Over 1600m2 of insulation was installed into this building, including Mammoth Skillion ceiling, Mammoth Acoustic wall blanket, Mammoth ceiling blanket, and Mammoth external wall insulation.

There were a few challenges with this job, including working from a scissor lift to install meshing to the ceiling and then laying the insulation over the top, and working within a confined worksite due to it being a school, but our team completed the project with flying colours.

Te Wharekura o Maniapoto

Te Wharekura o Maniapoto is an immersion school in rural Waikato. It recently had a two-storey extension added with four new learning spaces, led by Woodview Construction.

JMM Insulation was contracted to add insulation to all external and internal walls and some ceiling spaces to keep the tamariki warm and dry, even in the middle of those cold Waikato winters.

The historic Whangamata Cinema has had a rebrand and we were stoked to be a part of it. It’s been turned into a bespoke events venue, available for hire for parties, weddings, conferences and other events.

As part of its renovation, done by Coromandel Homes, the former cinema had a total of 490m2 of insulation installed by JMM Insulation. This included Earthwool in the ceiling and walls, and Mammoth Panel Absorber 50mm, fixed to the underside of the roof with a hilti gun and screws.

The team felt privileged to work on the restoration of such an iconic building.

Over just three days, our team installed 1376m2 of ceiling insulation at Waiora — a very tight deadline.

Brought in by iLine, we installed 688m2 of Autex Greenstuff to the ceiling, held up by screwing 688m2 of Ausmesh across the entire ceiling area.

A great tight turnaround achieved by our tight team.

This new village in Frankton, Hamilton will one day have 795 properties. JMM was contracted by CBD Developments to install a total of 2110m2 of insulation into a large-scale ten-apartment building with three commercial tenancies.

Our team installed Pinkbatts, James Hardie mineral insulation, Earthwool, and Greenstuff ASL panel absorber which were fixed into place with Hilti gun/ pins.

Following the success of this job, JMM Insulation has been contracted to do the second stage of installation of 35 apartments and 10 commercial tenants from June.

Hukanui School

JMM Insulation supplied and installed a total of 795sqm wall and ceiling blanket insulation for Hukanui School’s new classroom block, built by Woodview Construction.

JMM fitted the building with Earthwool R 3.2 rated external wall insulation, Earthwool Acoustic interior wall insulation and R 3.6 Temper Guard Glasswool ceiling insulation, secured with strapping.

This straight-forward install was completed by our awesome team in an impressive three hours.
